Product ads, websites and logos.
Ads from £100, sites from £100, identity from £150. Every price is on the page, and you pay once.
Three things, one person on all of them.
Product ads & motion
from £100
- Five, ten or fifteen seconds
- Priced by length, not by quote
- Cut and graded master, plus every social crop
Websites
from £100
- For small local businesses
- Designed and built, not themed
- No page builders, no monthly platform fee
Logo & brand identity
from £150
- The mark, drawn as real outlines
- Every lockup and every file format
- Colour and type rules that keep it consistent
Wanting two of the three is common, a logo and the site it lives on, or an ad and the identity it has to match. Say so and I will price the pair rather than adding the two numbers together.
Four films, shown start to finish.
Fifteen seconds of warm stone still life, with sound. No face and no hands, so the product and the light do the work.
Watch it, and how it was made
Self-directed · invented brand
Rodgers: Coffee
Fifteen seconds from bean to cup, with sound. Grind, extraction, milk crown, closing on the wordmark.
Watch it, and how it was made
Self-directed · invented product
Exo Hand: Hypermotion
Nine shots in ten seconds, cut hard and fast, with the mechanism as the hero throughout.
Watch it, and how it was made
Spec test · not made for PepsiCo
Pepsi Max, unofficial spec ad
Eleven seconds built around the open, with sound. PepsiCo did not commission it and I have no connection to them. It is a test against a brand you already know.
Watch it, and how it was madeNone of the four was commissioned. Two are invented brands, one is an invented product, and the Pepsi Max piece is unofficial spec work with no connection to PepsiCo.
Priced by length, not by quote.
Three lengths, three prices, and that is the price, not a starting point I revise upwards once you have told me about your business. Each one is a finished graded master with the social cuts, paid once, no retainer.
Five seconds
£100
One idea, one product, one look. A product-page loop, a story ad, a launch teaser. One round of changes.
Ten seconds
£200
Room for a sequence rather than a single moment: several shots cut together, with a beginning and an end. Three rounds of changes.
Fifteen seconds
£250
The full length a pre-roll or a paid social slot will take, and as many shots as the idea needs. Changes until it is right.
The master, the cuts, and the sign-off before any of it
You approve the look scene by scene before anything is produced. You get back a cut and graded master, 4K where the placement supports it, plus the 16:9, 9:16, square and 4:5 versions. Nothing on that list is quoted separately.
These are my prices while I build up a body of client work, and they go up once it is built.
Generation is the camera. I’m the director.
Every piece runs through eight stages, and a machine makes pictures at two of them: the stills you sign off, and the shots built to match them. The other six are the research, the brief, the storyboard, the previz, the post and the delivery, including frames retouched by hand in Photoshop and the whole thing cut and graded in DaVinci Resolve. That is why an ad costs £100 instead of the several thousand a shoot would, and days instead of weeks. Which tools do what is in the FAQ.
I’m Tom Mackellar. I run the whole thing myself, one project at a time, so there is nobody to hand it on to and nothing waiting on anyone else.
Everything here is shown start to finish and labelled for what it is. I have not made an ad for a paying client yet. Nothing is padded and nothing is dressed up as a commission it wasn’t, least of all the Pepsi one, which no part of PepsiCo has ever asked for or seen.
